Victorian Christmas Returns at Fort Verde State Historic Park

PHOENIX – Get a glimpse into the past and see how those who once lived at Fort Verde State Historic Park celebrated Christmas on the Frontier!
Fort Verde State Historic Park will be decorated and hosting events for the holiday, from Christmas trees and fireplace mantels adorned with unique Victorian decorations to candlelight tours and ornament workshops spreading holiday cheer throughout the park.
Bring the kids to the park on Saturday, December 7 to make their own Victorian ornament, also known as a “tussy mussy.” Spend the day in Camp Verde on Saturday, December 14 to enjoy fee free events at the Camp Verde Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., then stick around for the annual electric light parade at 6 p.m. Immediately following the parade, the Town of Camp Verde has sponsored fee-free Candlelight Tours at Fort Verde! Light refreshments and hot chocolate will be served as you tour through the historic buildings and visit with reenactors dressed in period clothing.
