"5 over-the-top Christmas lights from across the U.S." - USA Today The largest lights and lantern festival in North America will be brightening Phoenix's skies from November 22, 2019 - January 12, 2020 at the Arizona State Fair. Lights of the World is back for a third year. Combining the age-old tradition of paper lanterns with cutting-edge technology, the Lights of the World lantern displays extend from 18 to 60 feet, amounting to over 10 million colorful lights, and showcase features of different cultures and civilizations around the globe. With over 65 stunning displays, Lights of the World promises an unforgettable exploration of global cultures and cuisine. Lights of the World also possesses a litany of other entertainment features: as visitors walk through, they'll encounter a world of surprises, including friendly, life-like dinosaurs, daily free performances showcasing acrobatics, the Puppetone Rockers or a sea lion show. Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs is an indoor interactive exhibit and educational center located at OdySea in the Desert. Complete with more than 50 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs that roam through exhibits and true-to-life recreations of prehistoric habitats, Pangaea is designed to transport guests back to the age of the dinosaurs. Guests can enjoy family-friendly activities, educational explorations, thrilling rides, high quality dining and more. Pangaea offers immersive activities that stimulate children's imaginations and help them learn about the prehistoric world. Guests can partake in fossil excavations to dig for dinosaur bones and prehistoric fossils. Junior Ranger programs engage young people in age-appropriate activities that allow them to discover the significance of a specific site, introduce them to the national park system and to the mission of the National Park Service. They reveal to children that these amazing places belong to them. Junior Ranger programs are designed to provide participants with the flexibility to discover and interact with the park at their own pace and within the limits of their visit. They encourage children and their families to explore things they might otherwise have missed, to get out and walk around, to explore further by visiting specialized programs, park movies, exhibits, trails overlooks, talking to a ranger, and others.
